Coanda Simsport: 2 time NES champions
Coanda Simsport have been the dominant force in Prototype Endurance Racing on NEO, and they are the only double champions in the NES.
NEO Endurance Series season 3 schedule revealed
NEO Endurance is proud to announce the provisional schedule for season 3 of the NEO Endurance Series (2016-2017). The season 3 schedule has six rounds, one round less than season 2. and the NES will have an Asian debut, in Japan.
NES2 by the numbers
Season 2 of the NEO Endurance Series (NES) ended only a couple of weeks ago. Besides the regular numbers, eg. race results or the championship standings, are already known. The last couple of weeks, we have gathered more data from last season and here are some interesting numbers.
Record amount raised for MSF
NEO Endurance and Gathering of Tweakers (GoT) announced last September to raise money for the Motorsport Safety Foundation. NEO participates in the “% for safety” program of MSF. $6 of each team goes to MSF. On top of that, the fee for each roster change during season also goes to MSF. GoT joined this season by donating the fee for the roster changes as well.
Action and drama in season finale
The paddock was at the iconic Nürburgring for the season finale of the NEO Endurance Series. Due to some late withdrawals the grid was slightly smaller than usual. Only 31 took the start for the final eight hours of the season. Throughout the whole field an amazing race unfolded.
The final chapter of season 2
Coming into round 7 at Nürburgring GP on Sunday April 10, the season is coming to an end. It’s been a roller coaster ride with ups and down for both teams and the organization.
High speed action at Monza
37 cars took the green flag in the morning sun at Autodromo Nazionale di Monza. This is the first time the NEO paddock races at this historic track. The speeds are very high, the road is bumpy, and the braking zones are challenging.
